For the nth time, classes are, again, suspended due to the threat of AH1N1 virus. A lot of catching up on the lessons are needed...and there might be a possibility that the missed schedules would just be a reading assignment and online activities, which means evaluations won't be moved, which means we are on cramming mode....which, of course means, i should start working now. ;s

a new notebook

Ive been a PC User ( dell to be exact) ever since I started to own one. So after 6 years of a really pleasant experience, I needed to search for a new notebook. Dell centers here in Ph doesn't have parts ready, they have to order it and I have to wait for a few weeks to have the parts shipped here...and I can't really wait any longer. Now, in my search, my first choice was the HP mini...but I wanted the Limited Vivienne Tam edition.

Beautiful right? Really perfect and cool. It'sUltra-sleek! A 10.1" display and just 2.45 lb.! Merely 1" thick!How much? Really cheap..for only Php 27,950. I was so ready to buy this beauty but there's just one big problem. Since it's a limited edition...well..it's limited! I called all the hp dealers around manila and they all have one answer...it's already sold out! ooohhh...poor me:-s In the hp website, however, it is still available...for $699.99..which already cost much more than how much it is priced here. And so I gave up.

Plan B. I've always been fascinated in Mac but dare not to wish for it...well because I think it's some form of luxury and I don't know...well...maybe I'm just really comfortable with Microsoft and I don't wanna try something else. But I've always heard good stuff about this brand, so I gave it a try. I called all the Mac dealers here in Ph and canvassed for the lowest price. I originally wanted a MacBook Air...But it's so thin and fragile I'm really sure I'm just gonna break it. So I settled for a White Mac Book. And so I found the store that's on Sale. At Alabang Festival Mall, they sell it really cheaper than other Mac outlets. And the minute I stepped on the store (really just a minute), I told the guy I'm gonna take it. (Well I asked my mom first of course).


And so we bought it. And boy! was I happy! I mean really super overly excited! The only time I felt like this was when I first held my first game boy and when I had my first car! haha! See?? It's extreme Happiness!


I don't know if Macs are better than PCs...and I think PCs are really great too. But gahhh...I'm just happy with this on my hands.. :)

So what is it really? Do we really want to belong and be like others or do we want to be different and unique? We all have our own insecurities and most of the time we look for the wrong ways to overcome these. We seek other people's opinions and approvals to tell us we look just as fine, but in reality if there's anyone in the world who knows the real beauty in us should be ourselves, what makes us different is what makes us beautiful. It maybe an overrated thing to say but really.... how can anyone appreciate the good in you if you yourself can't see it? The moment we learn to accept what is given to us, that's the only time where we get what we've always wanted, what we deserve.
